Ways to Wear it: Maxi Dresses & Skirts

Maxi dresses and skirts are surprisingly versatile and can be worn a variety of ways. I may have just said the same thing in two different ways but I'm okay with that... I love a great maxi and as demonstrated here, will wear the same one time and time again. Many times I wear a dress and by layering over it, make it look like a skirt but it's easy to create a maxi skirt from an old maxi dress that's maybe too short to wear with heels or with a bodice that isn't up to par. A few of the maxi skirts you see here, if not all of them, were once dresses that I altered into skirts {i.e. the photos above}. While maxi's oftentimes have a very Bohemian or Boho Chic feel, styling and accessorizing can really change the look of the ensemble as a whole and lend itself to a multitude of "styles".
