New Acquisitions: Handbags + Shoes

Just a quick little post filled with materialism and opulence... because pretty bags and shoes make for such pretty photos, and I know you're just dying to know what I got for my birthday, no? :) My husband completely surprised me with the 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli bag I'd admitted to falling in love with in my perfect black handbags post. For some reason, the black leather with gold hardware was only available via pre-order and I thought I'd have to wait until July to get it... but it arrived on our doorstep at the beginning of this week and it is definitely all it is cracked up to be. I love it. {it's available via OTTE NY now!}

My fabulous father in law stopped by on my actual birthday and gave me this amazingly fabulous red Ferragamo wallet. The moment I opened the box and saw it, I had a vision of my grandma. I know that sounds weird, but it would have been the exact style she would have chosen for herself and that makes me love it even more.

And what's a birthday without splurging on yourself a little? ... and I did, with a gold House of Harlow 1960 pyramid necklace and Giambattista Valli satin black and white slingbacks... oh they're so pretty. I can't find them online to link to but in searching, I just found these gorgeous black and white and gold anklestraps which was a total mistake because now I want them too.

I grabbed the Alexander Wang black wristlet {most similar to this} at a recent Barney's NY sale... the same sale that I found my Loeffler Randall's actually. My friends also graciously gifted me with pretty bracelets, nail lacquers, a Dior heated eyelash curler {which I can't wait to review for you} as well as Sephora gift cards.

My mom & stepdad got me a Singer Serger... and while it didn't make the cut for this photo shoot, it will definitely be getting some major usage in the coming months. Well, assuming I have the time to learn how to use it, that is.

It's no secret that I'm a very lucky woman, with a fabulous husband and generous friends and family... and love abounding.
