A few weeks ago I styled my hair in this high French twist {featured in this outfit post} and had requests for an instructional hair tutorial. So here it is ;) It's a fun look because it sort of mimics a faux-hawk or a short haircut if you slick the sides back. If you leave it looser, it has a sort of modern retro/40's look which I thought worked well with the military-inspired ruffle dress I was wearing. It's an easy style once you get the hang of it. Also, in the first few minutes of the video I talk about how I air-dry my hair... if you don't care about that part, skip to about 2:11 when the tutorial begins.
Enjoy.
Watch my how to video here...
I used...
* small {metallic gold} bobby pins* jumbo bobby pins
* clear plastic hair pins
* Bed Head Biggie Maxxed out hair spray

Love it! So glamorous! I should give it a try, although I don't think my thin hair can hold this style...

Absolutely in LOVE with this hairstyle. So fresh, yet so vintage. Ahh. I wish my hair were a little longer so I could achieve this!
You make it look so easy!

Very nice earrings;)
I am totally inlove with this hair style, but I was wondering if there is another way to do this that only the top of my head would have thr twist and I could leave the rest of my hair down on both sides??
