* My UNFINISHED vanity area above *
As unfortunate as it is that I can't have my double lamps on my console table behind my sofa in my living room, I'm making up for it in my new home office. Using the same Ikea 3-drawer dressers that my husband and I bought for our first master bedroom together back in 2004 {because it's really all we could afford}, and then in my last home office, these $75 dollar dressers create a nice clean modern line when smashed up against each other and they've made the cut yet again. I have my grandma's vintage Campodimonte Italian lamps from the 40's, which I finally got to pull out of my mom's storage a few years ago, washed and purchased new black shades to use in my last office. And now, they will create the lines of a vanity of sorts in a new dressing area of my office, just outside my closet. But clearly, this space is not finished yet. I need a large mirror to complete the look and and with the help of you and Lamps Plus, I can make this area come to life.
My inspiration for this room, similar to my last office but hopefully more dramatic, is Modern {because Ikea makes it so affordable and functional} mixed with Vintage & a little DIY, old Hollywood glamour and thanks to my grandma, hints of antique Italian decor mixed in between. It's an eclectic mix of all things feminine, all thing "me" and the one room of the house which I have no problem at all decorating completely over the top glam, because it is all mine.
So here are the mirrors I think will work best for the area but I can't decide which to choose. My initial thought was a sunburst because I just love the way they look between two lamps. However, this area is more antique Italian than old Hollywood glam so I'm thinking one of the others with the ornate gold frames with a more vanity-esque feel, will be much more appropriate for this area. I think I've made up my mind, but haven't made any purchases yet.

Number 4 is my favorite!
I kind of REALLY love #4!
I like either #1 or #5
#4, 5, or 6. I think the oval/round shape looks best above the two lamps. Although my favorite mirror is #3, I feel it gets a little "lost" behind the lamps. I feel the most old Hollywood glamour-esq mirror is #4. #5 is great because the actual mirror is large. Lastly, if you wanted a more modern look, go for #6. Good luck deciding!
Yes, number 4
I like number 4!
I like the oval shape of 5 but I really like 6 too
6 - flows with the zebra
LOVE #1. So unusual and gorgeous. You see round mirrors (especially starburst type) all the time right now, but #1 is so unique and the shape is awesome in that space.
LOVE #4... beauuuutiful lines.

I like #1 as it mimics the shape of your lamps in reverse so there is a nice balance between them. It also gives some height to the space.

Number 6
Love 4 and 5!
My personal favorite is #1, but I also like #4 too.
3 and 4, I think the irregular edges brings some more to this simetrical composition

I love 3 or 4. I lean towards 3 though.
How fun- I wouldn't have known which to choose without the mirrors photoshopped in there!
Numbers 1, 3, and 5. Although each of them is very beautiful. I like the contrast between the starburst against the classic Italian lamps. Actually, the starburst can be classic Greek, in a way.
The oval frames enclose the space making your eyes stay in one spot, while the sunburst and others, make your eyes take everything in and look around.
3 or 6
Number 4!
Wish I could see the lamps close-up. Difficult to see from afar.....(Still, I like numbers 1, 3, and 5, but I just might change my mind if I could see the lamps close-up.)
Definitely #4!
I think 5 and 6 look the best, but I love mirror 3-it's so fun!
#6 is my fave, followed by #4.
The Occasional Indulgence
Cameron adds a great juxtaposition with the antique lamps, very modern glam...
To me it's a toss up between the Cameron Sunburst Mirror or the Dark Antique Gold Mirror. The sunburst gives it a modern feel and the gold mirror gives it a vintage feel. I would also like to see what it looks like with the mirrors raised above the lamps.
#2! Love #2

Let's talk function. Obviously you want this mirror/lamp grouping to look lovely, but if this mirror is going to be one you're actually going to use while getting dressed (location near the closet- guessing you have a full-length elsewhere) you want it to actually be able to use it, right? That being the case, I'd go for #1. Not only is it beautifully shaped, it also looks to be the largest mirror, providing the best look at your "look" and it looks the best with the lamps!
Absolutely 1 number ♥
#6 - if you want glam with a hint of modernity
#4 - if you want antique
The ones I believe give your room more personality and life are:
#3,#5,and #6. The rest look kind of flat to me...
Mambo No. 5...I mean Mirror No. 5 ....Looks like it belongs there!
Ooops, I found the close up on your link in your text. I'll have to think about my choices again....
Now I'm confused..........all beautiful mirrors.....it's a toss-up!
#4!

#1 & 3 are my favorite. 1 seems like it might be too delicate for the space though.
#3
#3 ties in with the ceiling beams, the chairs, and the rest of the furniture. I finally made up my mind!
# 3
#5 is the only one that complements details on the lamps and picture frame (as far as I can see on the photos) Smaller details on the mirror frame at #5 don't overpower fine details on the lamps that deserve attention for their classic beauty.
I loved #4 at first but when you look at mirror +dresser combo I am really leaning towards 5! I love the unexpected shape of the oval, it completes the space!! Can't wait to see what you decide!
I really like #5!
#6! Love the contemporary look of this one next to your vintage lamps.
I like #1 or #5 the most!
#1! Has a "Mirror,Mirror" on the wall feel to it!!!
#5 jumps out at me, and #4 is second.
it's a comfortable home to stay.. :)

I immediately gravitated to 6, but seeing all the mirrors up, I would say 1. Interested to see which one you decide upon. Happy decorating! Isn't it the best feeling ever!

4 or 5 :))
love n.1 but also 4 :)
Very Gorgeous Vanity.

I agree with someone above who commented that #3 would bring more shape and contrast to the surrounding furniture. It's also the least outdated and I like the modernity of it against the more antique style of the lamps.
I say number 4 is my favorite!
Ablenay #1 looks the best!
As always, all very nice, but personally I like option number 5. and before I had time to flip through photos, my imagination drew a blank wall very large mirror in the shape of a semicircle, in antique frame. Thus, to the mirror reflected both lamps.
No. 4 dark antique gold, definitely!!!
Number 1 but... turned upside down.
Funny, I chose my favs even before I saw them on the wall. 3 or 6. It helps balance the straight lines of your chairs and dresser witht the curves of the lamps and shade.
Ablenay-
The first one because there is a lot of mirrors which means that it would be USEFUL and not just decorative plus the shape is just so cool and unusual.
Hi Maegs, Rita from Chicago here: Definitely NUMBER 1!!! It "cements" the lines together, and does not obstruct or compete with the view from the lamps. Mirror Number 1 also gives height and depth to the room, and makes it appear larger. I don't know, it just looks like it was "made" for the wall & the dresser. Enough said. But you be the judge. :)
The Dark Antique Gold mirror. Love that one!
#1 is my favorite. I love its unique shape.
I love mirror #5 the most. I like how it is detailed without overpowering the other features of the room. It suits the space well.
I think #2 or #4 are best. I like #2 because it's interesting but not so ornate that the mirror competes with the lamps.
Cameron Starburst!
http://the-glitter-life.com/2013/01/25/friday-five-wardrobe-staples/
i was sure about #2 and #6 until i saw the pics. turns out i love them all!!!! but i would pull the lamps a little more apart. i think.
I love either of the starburst mirrors! I agree that I'd pull the lamps further apart, too. Great style by the way. I'm loving your new home, too. What a beautiful location!
#5 is perfect for that wall.
I love the heavier frame on number 4, but the current position of the lamps covers it a little too much. I would scooch (technical decorating term LOL) them out a bit more.
The shape of #1 looks great with the current spacing of the lamps, but there's something I can't quite put my finger on that I don't like about it. Maybe it's just that it's such an unbroken expanse of glass with that narrow frame.
#5 grows on me the more I look at it. It's got a nice sized mirror and a decent weight frame to balance it, but #4 is still my favorite with the lamps a little wider apart.
Number 3. It's the only one even close to having a big enough presence for the space. It adds such great 'texture' to the very straight dresser and walls/lines.
My grandma had a mirror like the last one in her dressing room in 1920! I love it. And looks great with your lamps. Thanks for sharing, i will buy a pair of mirrors for my office too, i am personal shopper in Spain and your outfits are gorgeous!
Congrats for the new house.
Lorena Camarasa Mas-Masiá.
I like 4, 5, and 6. I personally feel that 4 adds that rustic/vintage look.
. Same with 5. 5 also had a bit of a Victorian feel to me. I feel 6 would you give you that bit of Hollywood Glam you're looking for.
With moving the lamps around during I would say 4.
None of the short-listed mirrors. They are too small and they are all the wrong shape for the space you have. A big rectangular mirror or what Tammy Brock Pruett suggested.
2 and 5 are my favs...
Love the lamps!!!!
3 :)
#1 or #3
El 1º me encanta pero un poco más arriba.
Besujis!!
My favorites are 3 and 6! I think the space is definitely calling for a round mirror and the lines of those styles definitely give a vintage art deco yet modern feel.
rebelleon.blogspot.com
Definitely #1, but turned upside down.
#6 (Cyrus Starburst)
I think #1 is perfect, but I have a suggestion, if its affordable, I would like to see TWO of them over the space and the lamps on the far ends of the dresser.
I love this one: 6. Cyrus Sunburst Mirror, but can't see the picture w/ your vanity here.
4 FOUR 4 FOUR 4 FOUR 4 FOUR!!!!
I vote for #3, then #6; and spread the lamps a bit further apart. IMHO, repeating the shape of your grandmother's lamps detracts from the lamps themselves. Of course, I'm assuming you want to showcase the lamps.
