So happy to share a recent feature in Sew Magazine {sewmag.co.uk} of my easy DIY Tassel Curtains in which I turned store-bought curtain panels into unique, custom drapes for very little extra cost.
* Find my original DIY Here
I quickly, easily, and loosely hand-stitched the tassel trim onto the inner edges just in case I wanted to remove it in the future, which I may do now that we are in our new house. These curtains aren't big enough for my new office so they will make a new home in one of our upstairs bedrooms. Because I hand-stitched the tassels on, I can easily snip the threads and remove them without ruining the silk curtains. AND I can just as easily add a new trim to match a new room, if I like. But who knows, they may work just the way they are.

You can check out every inch of my old home office here while I'm still working on putting the finishing touches on my new home office and work space {which is about 3 times bigger & I'm giddy about it!} I'm currently waiting for my new drapes to arrive... 8 custom panels. Can you guess what color?

That's pretty darn stunning, great idea and good work on the feature!
I love the curtains! I wanted to use our idea for my bedroom when you posted them for the first time but here in Germany, it seems to be impossible to find the right tassels. All you can buy are those pompoms used for mexican hats and they are about 3 euros per meter (4 USD per yard?) so still kind of expensive for a student... But I still lovelovelove them and everytime, I find a new sewing supplies story, I check the tassel section :)
Great DIY!

I love this, even made myself some new curtains! I used purple and yellow tassels on white curtains!
