With so many clean lines and minimalistic collections on the Spring runways, the random frilly ruffle here and there was like a pop of color in a sea of black and white ensembles. Next up in my Spring 2013 Fashion Trends refresher series is jut that, the random yet large ruffle, that popped up around the neck and hemline, and everywhere in between. In many looks, it was seemingly pointless and lonely, but added just the right amount of femininity to the sleek lines. It's like the big ruffle met the peplum and decided it wanted to be anywhere but the waist. I'm kind of loving it though. Gucci and Givenchy are faves! Which are your favorites?

Acne, Gucci, Givenchy! p.s. Just watching "Madame X" (Lana Turner, John Forsyth, etc. 1966, in color). Wow, what a heart-wrenching love story. Superb background music, too. I'm fairly that sure it has a happy ending....(Just thought I'd mention that!)
I LOVE ruffles and love peplum! The more frilly and feminine the better - I'm loving it too. I like the ruffles on the dress by Balenciaga but I like the colour of the dress by Gucci. For my favourite I'm holding out for more frills and more vibrant feminine Spring colours. Of course I like the sheer fashions as well.
I'm liking it!
