NYFW DIY Inspiration : Alexander Wang Fall 2013

When I spotted these socked heels on the Fall 2013 Alexander Wang RTW runway, I immediately thought it may offer a new and fun way to wear my heels out in these cold wintery months. Already wearing my leg warmers, I ran to my closet, slipped on my heels, folded my leg warmers under, aligned them with the sole of the shoe and heel, scrunched a bit and voila! Easy and fun furry little points and a new excuse to wear my heels out, yay!

The black on black creates an ankle-boot look.




And my quick version below... which admittedly has more of an 80's look but may also work better using an old pair of socks or the arm of an old sweater to achieve the "mule" style as seen above. The leg warmers, while warm enough, were a bit bulkier than the inspiration, hitting much higher on my ankle, but still cute. It's not for everyone, but it's fuzzy and cute and this leg-warmer-lover adores them!
