Nature Studies in Color: A Closeup on Trees; Bark & Stumps

tree bark close up

I thought I’d complete my nature-inspired week of posting {except for the one inside my closet} with what I think are GORGEOUS photos of tree bark and tree stumps. I took them the other day on one of our walks and couldn’t get over the color and richness of each of them in person and then in the photos as well. If you have a minute, really look at the textures and colors and depth. They’re truly wondrous… sometimes nature makes me so sappy ;)

I also found them oddly similar in color palette and texture to my original mood board for our living room/great room from last October. See the hint of blues even in the bark? I can only imagine it’s a reflection of the lake or sky?

Inspiration comes in so many forms as long as you’re aware and in the moment and ready to embrace the beauty in everything.

Just found your blog & I love what I see! Your two pups are just adorable & you are beautiful! Can I ask what you have your stylist do for your hair color? Do you get highlights and lowlights?

    Thanks,

The bark is so dark on the tree! What sort of trees are they? Nature is a wondrous thing – we city folk sometimes forget to stop and appreciate. Thanks for the pictures.
