Women Who Do-Vanity Fair

For 100 years, Vanity Fair lingerie has been the brand that women look to for undeniable support, lift and a little bit of luxury. 100 Years!!!

When I was a little girl and we’d visit my grandma’s house, the first thing I’d do was run into her bedroom, fling open her accordian closet doors and admire her wall-long rack of colorful dresses, suits, and jackets, hanging below two equally-long meticulously organized shelves of shoe boxes with hand-written names of each style and designer on the side.

Next I’d skip over to her vanity and dressing table and admire her pretty perfume bottles and crystal spritzers, her glittering gold filigree lipstick stand and matching hair brush set, then pilfer through her bra and slip drawers alongside it. I didn’t really pay attention to it then, but the image of the now vintage Vanity Fair Lingerie label is etched in my memory accompanied by silky flesh tones, lace trims, and tiny satin bows, the undergarments of one very stylish woman.

My grandma wore Vanity Fair bras, my mom wore Vanity Fair bras, and now so do I. While we don’t exactly span the full 100 years of this iconic brand’s legacy, we are three generations of female bodies lifted and supported by Vanity Fair lingerie, bras, and underwear.

Women Who Do-Vanity Fair-Little Lifts

I’m super excited and completely honored to be one of six bloggers chosen to participate and share Vanity Fair’s “Women Who Do” Initiative, a powerfully uplifting campaign dedicated to celebrating the everyday triumphs of women everywhere. Women like me. Women like you. Women Who DO!

Right now, more than any time in history, women everywhere are doing… and we’re doing more than ever thought possible. Women are running businesses, families, government and so much more, and usually multi-tasking our way through it all. Oftentimes these successes in life make us feel like we are alone and in competition with other women instead of players on the same team. I love that this initiative is reminding us that we need to support each other by offering “Little Lifts” to celebrate the collective power and perseverance of women everywhere who are doing.

You don’t have to do something big, you just have to do something ~Angie Davids’

A “Little Lift” may be as simple as sending a thoughtful note, email or text, offering a hand, holding a door, or paying for a stranger’s coffee. But it could also be a hug, an afternoon chat with someone who looks lonely, or noticing and complimenting a fellow co-worker on an outstanding job well done. Sometimes it’s just nice when someone notices how much we are truly doing each day.

Here’s to Women Who Do is a short but empowering video that makes me feel like I can take on the world and reminds me that we’re all on the same team, not competing in a race. We are all incredible and we can all make a difference in this world, in this life. And beyond that, we can easily choose to make someone’s day brighter.

Dress for Success Partnership

Dress for Success® is an organization dedicated to promoting the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, career development tools and a network of support to help them thrive in work and in life.

Through their partnership with Dress for Success, Vanity Fair® lingerie is providing a different kind of lift and support for women in need across the country and hopes to provide them with the support they need to be successful. Something as simple as a new, well-fitting bra can build confidence and make a great difference in how a woman stands and sees herself. She will feel empowered if she looks the part and I couldn’t agree more.
