* Title: Wrabel – Into The WildBeen here before. We know the language. Let’s speak it now. It’s only us. Human nature. It’s all around… Oh, we’re running out into the wild… Don’t know what we’re trying to find… But we need it. We’re following the siren call… We’re chasing shadows of a feeling… Out in the middle of it all… Find out we’re bigger than our demons… Into the wild

I’m having a block with what to write today… mostly because I want to write and talk to you about a million things, but I feel like I can’t. And then I try to think of ways to talk about them without saying much, and I’m still blocked. I suppose I can say I’m utterly frustrated in a few different areas in my life and feel a little unsure and stuck and am wondering how to work around it all. Mostly I’m frustrated with other people, and there’s one thing I know for sure and it’s that you can’t change other people, you can only change your reaction to them.

But if you’re working as a team, for instance, and you constantly feel like a certain team member would just prefer you not to be there, for whatever reason, but you know you belong there, and you know you deserve a certain level of respect for your certain expertise, but the person constantly crushes you -for everything that you do, what do you do? You can only take so much, you can only be talked over, disregarded, purposely left out of decisions so that they get their way and you don’t have a say – so much… But how do you work then in an environment that is a constant fight? And how do you work as an equal partner with someone who acts like they are the boss and tries to dictate every single situation? I’m not sure.

It takes the fun out of a project that you’re passionate about when it’s a constant battle. It’s too late to walk away when you’re already invested passionately to it and just want to see it in its final glory and splendor and know like-you know-like you know that you’re an asset to the team, even if another team member constantly undermines you… I dunno. I’m not sure how to handle it… because sometimes I just feel like I’m going to explode, throw my arms up in the air and walk the fuck away. But it’s too late for that. And really, it’s the last thing I want.

With every person having a totally unique background & life experiences, and individual genes and brain chemistry, I actually find it somewhat amazing when we’re able to find common ground and work together unselfishly and generously, at all! When it happens, it’s pretty great. When it doesn’t and you feel like you’re hammering head/wall day after day, it’s not.

Happier thought: Just look at those LEGS! 🙂
