I had some very light black cotton crepe (looks like silk chiffon but made from cotton) which I used to make ruffles a la Maegan on a boring black top- and thanks to Maegan I had a serious piece of couture that cost me nothing and looked AMAZING! But then I chucked it in the washing machine (I do this with everything- a prerequisite of all my clothes is they have to be SUPER EASY to look after) and I discovered that all the cute petal/ruffles had crinkled and shrunk up after washing!!
